The following requirements are a summary of the technical and fee requirements that SpeCC apply to applicants wishing to become certified under the Scheme.

1. Requirements of the Applicant.

• Fully completed Application Form.

1.1 Documents to be submitted with the Application Form:

2 SpeCC Procedures after receipt of completed application

2.1 Examination that the application has been completed correctly

2.2 Production of an assessment itinerary.

2.3 Appointment of Assessors.

2.4 Notification to applicant of the programme of events.

2.5 Visit by the Assessors to the offices and sites of the applicant to examine compliance with the Technical Requirements of the scheme.

3 Cost of Registration

3.1 Sector 1 - Concrete Frame & Major Works

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £3500 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £3500 + VAT
• Note: Sector 1 contractors may be listed under Sector 2 without further charge.
  Additional charges for Sector(s) 3, 4 and 5 Registration will apply.

3.2 Sector 2 - Tier 1 Major Substructure & Residential Basement Construction

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £3500 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £3500 + VAT
• Note: Charges for registration under additional sectors will apply.
  Contractors initially registered under Sector 1, may be listed under Sector 2 without further charge.

3.3 Sector 2 - Tier 2 Residential Basement Construction (Houses)

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £1750 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £1750 + VAT

3.4 Sector 3 - Concrete Barriers (Slip-Form)

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £3500 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £3500 + VAT
• Note: contractors registered under Sector 1, 2, 4 or 5 will incur additional costs for registration under this sector.

3.5 Sector 4 - Piling

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £3500 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £3500 + VAT
• Note: contractors registered under Sector 1, 2, 3 or 5 will incur additional costs for registration under this sector.

3.6 Sector 5 - Flooring

• Application fee payable with application (non-returnable) - £3500 + VAT
• Certification fee – included in Application fee
• Annual Renewal fee  -  £3500 + VAT
