Transferring your ISO certification to SpeCC

Introduction

Do you already hold BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 and/or BS OHSAS 18001 certification and are considering changing your current provider?

Many think it's difficult or impossible to switch their certification provider, but the reality is that it couldn’t be easier.

Why transfer to us?

We are a UKAS accredited certification body, specific to the concrete industry.

Transfer today and not only will we provide you with a fresh perspective, we’ll also offer additional benefits in terms of integrating your ISO certification with SpeCC certification. The SpeCC Regulations reflect the requirements of the NSCS and BS EN 13670:2009 (execution of concrete structures), so you will have construction specific certification at no extra cost.

We would plan the assessment programme so that, under normal circumstances, there would be one annual surveillance audit covering all aspects of the certification, eliminating the need for additional visits.

We'll provide you with a fixed fee which includes travel and subsistence costs, so there'll be no hidden extras.

No third year fee increases. Typically, certification bodies will charge more for your third year surveillance audit as it involves a recertification assessment. However, our prices are the same each year.

What standards are covered?

Our UKAS accredited certification transfer service currently applies to BS EN ISO 9001. However, it will very soon apply to BS EN ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 also.

Notwithstanding the above, non-UKAS accredited certification transfers can be undertaken now in relation to BS EN ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001, transferring to the all encompassing SpeCC tier 1 or tier 2 certificate, which will include certification against the NSCS and BS EN 13670:2009 (execution of concrete structures), and at no extra cost.

How do I transfer?

It's straight forward to transfer your ISO certification, especially if you already use a UKAS accredited certification body.

If you don't it's not a problem, we'll just need to integrate the ISO certification audit into the SpeCC audit to ensure you are meeting the requirements of the standard. This way, you'll be better prepared and get even more benefit from the transfer.

The transfer procedure is detailed below:

  1. Complete the SpeCC application form and submit it, together with your current ISO certificate and the last certification or recertification audit report and any subsequent audit report from your current certification body. If there were any nonconformities requiring action, please also send a copy of the ‘discharge of actions letter’.
  2. SpeCC undertakes a desk-top exercise to confirm that all the above is in order
  3. You write to your existing certification body to inform them that you are leaving, giving them the appropriate notice
  4. You provide us with a statement confirming that SpeCC can contact your existing certification body
  5. We write to the certification body seeking confirmation of the validity of the certification and the status of any outstanding nonconformities
  6. We undertake the next scheduled audit (using the programme already in place).

What does it cost?

It costs nothing extra. You simply pay SpeCC instead of your current provider for your forthcoming annual surveillance in the normal way.

Please contact us to discuss our prices for the various certification options available.
